Indianapolis Zoo Elephant Expecting What Will Be An Historic Calf

An African elephant at the Indianapolis Zoo is expecting and it’s a very big deal.  The zoo says the birth will be historic as the calf will be the first elephant in the world born through artificial insemination to a mother also born through artificial insemination.  Sixteen-year-old Zahara is 15 months pregnant and due in October of 2023.
