Story by Prairie Communications intern Kadin Rogers

The Monmouth-Roseville high school varsity baseball team has been on a hot streak in the past week. Since last Wednesday the Titans have rattled off 4 straight wins, many coming in dominant fashion. Last week the Titans took care of West Central by a score of 12-3 and then Kewanee with an 11-1 final score. This Monday M-R gutted out a 2-1 win over Riverdale before beating Mercer County 13-1 on Tuesday. Head Coach Jordan Ball says the team has come together in all three phases of the game……offense, defense and pitching.

Monmouth-Roseville gets back on the field tomorrow, as the Titans play the second of a 3-game road trip. The squad will travel to Riverdale on Thursday for the back half of a Three Rivers Conference West Division home-and-home series against the Rams. On Saturday, Monmouth-Roseville takes a long trip to Mendota for a Three Rivers division crossover game against the Trojans. They’ll return home to the friendly confines of Sunny Lane Field next Wednesday against Bushnell-Prairie City.
