Dorothy L. Stevenson, 80 and a day, of Seaton, IL passed away at 11:32 pm, Friday, March 31, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center, Aledo, IL

Dorothy was born March 30, 1943 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Floyd and Louise (Moesch) Stevenson.  She was raised and educated in Gladstone, IL, attending G&O High School and graduating in the first class from Union High School in 1961.

Dorothy married Jack Henshaw in March 1961. She later met Randy Anderson in 1990 and they have been loving companions ever since.   

Dorothy worked several jobs over the years, most notably at the Burlington Medical Center, both nursing homes in Aledo and retired from Western Illinois Home Health Care in Monmouth in 2014.

She loved cooking, gardening, flowers, having fun and especially her family gatherings. She was always up for a good time, going on adventures with her children and other family members.

Survivors include her partner, Randy Anderson of Seaton, IL; her children, Jacque (Lewis) Henshaw-Worden of Burlington, IA, Harold (Deanna) Henshaw of Oquawka, IL, Steven Henshaw of Oquawka, Becky (Bryan) Henshaw Tee of Oquawka and Stacey (Jason Sickels) Henshaw of Seaton; 7 grandchildren, Julie Borton, Jennifer Currier, Jamie Grisham, Skylar Kopf, Dylan Tee, Austin Grafton and Taylor Grafton; 5 great grandchildren; also surviving is her sister, Carol Stevenson of Oquawka and 3 nephews. She is also survived by her dear dog, Freddy.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held and announced at a later date.  Memorials may be given to FurEver Friends for Mercer County Animal Shelter or Western Illinois Animal Rescue and sent to the funeral home.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
