Monmouth College Golf Finishes in 13th Place at Blueboy Invite

MONMOUTH, ILL. – The Monmouth College men’s golf team finished in 13th place in the Illinois College Blueboy Invite. The event consisted of one round Friday and one round Saturday at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield.

Ryan Prusak (Oswego, Illinois) had the best finish for a Monmouth golfer as he carded at +11 for the event. Prusak finished in a tie for 46th with a 78 on Friday and a 77 on Saturday for a total of 155.

Noah Shields (Rantoul, Illinois) shot an 80 on Friday and a 79 on Saturday for a +15 159 to tie for 56th place. Ganon Greenman (Alpha, Illinois) finished in 63rd place with a 82-78 +16 160.

Briggs Bossert (Evanston, Illinois) finished in a tie for 65th with an 81-82 +19 163. Playing as an individual, Grant Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) shot 83-91 for a +30 174 as he tied for 87th. Nick Marseco (Highland Park, Illinois) shot 123-122 for a +101 245 to finish 94th.

The Scots finished in 13th place overall with a 637 team score. Illinois Wesleyan and Kirkwood tied for the team title with a score of 565. The individual winner, from Heartland CC shot -12 for the event and won by three strokes.

Monmouth is next in action at the SLIAC Championships April 23-25 in Caseyville, Illinois.
