Local School Board elections were on the ballot on the April 4th Consolidated Election Day. With having two weeks after election day to collect mail-in ballots, United Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt reports the indications of the three members elected to the Board of Education ahead of the official canvas of votes on Tuesday:
“All indication our election went that Joel Johnson won his incumbent seat back and then Scott Campbell and Alex Baker won the two open seats for the two members that chose not to run again. Craig Allaman is leaving after two terms and then Dana Poole is leaving after three terms. Dana has actually served as our president for the last nine years. Those guys they have both fulfilled multiple terms and have done a great job for us and we are thankful for their service to us and we will take care of them when we seat the new guys in May.”
The new elected members will be seated at the United Board of Education meeting in May, followed by elections for the Board offices.
