Altercation Leads to Mob Action and Aggravated Battery Arrest in Macomb

Share

On 05/26/23 at approximately 9:48 PM, Macomb Police officers were dispatched to 505 N. Johnson St. in reference to an altercation that had occurred. It was reported that someone had been stabbed during the altercation. The investigation determined that a couple had been walking in the 500 block of N. Johnson St and were having a verbal argument. This argument was observed by Treshawn Howard, and possibly others. Howard, instead of calling the police and observing, physically intervened and a fight ensued. Howard, and potentially other suspects, began beating the male and female that had been having the verbal disagreement. During the fight, suspects attacked the couple with a large speaker box, striking them. The female, afraid for her life, resorted to using a knife to defend herself. Howard was treated and released from MDH and arrested for Mob Action and Aggravated Battery.

This incident is still under investigation and more arrests are likely.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
