Don’t Be an Easy Target: Lock Your Doors

Share

Don’t be an easy target. Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer reminds all individuals to lock up your personal belongings, vehicles, homes, and garages:

“Whether you are home or at the store, you need to lock your car doors. Don’t let expensive items, electronic items sit in the seat in plain view of someone walking around your car. Put those under the seat or in the trunk. There are people out walking around trying to find vehicles that are unlocked. Those are the easy target, the vehicles that are unlocked.”

Chief Switzer also reports the department is actively working through the traffic grants to heavily enforce seatbelt violations, speeding, cell phone violations, DUI’s, and then general calls of service.
