Sandburg Chargers Athletics Enjoys Another Successful Sports Year

Share

Story by Prairie Communications intern Kadin Rogers

Carl Sandburg College had another year of success in athletics throughout the 2022-2023 Chargers sports calendar. Multiple teams at Sandburg finished their seasons with great overall team success, with numerous Chargers athletes gaining individual honors within the Aarowhead Conference and Region IV. First year Athletic Director at Carl Sandburg College Daniella Irle was on the WRAM Morning Show earlier this month to discuss the past year in sports at CSC, she says that all the credit for this successful year in athletics goes to the team’s coaches and players, who worked hard throughout the entire school year.

Most recently the Sandburg women’s golf team finished out their season in mid-May with a 15th place finish at nationals, while two more Carl Sandburg players were added to All-Region IV first team lists, in baseball players Mitch Ball and Jack Shields.
