Western Illinois Regional Council, a non-profit based out of Macomb, is expanding into the Galesburg community and will be opening a branch office on the first floor of the Bondi Building at 313 East Main Street. Community Services and Public Relations Director Jamie Roth shares the available services to individuals in west central Illinois:

“We are a non-profit and we are a social service agency that provides everything from our job coaching program, which is new, helping people with writing their resumes, preparing for interviews, writing cover letters, knowing how to dress for an interview, tips like that, and it is customized to them. We also offer at certain times of the year utility assistance, helping with paying the electricity bills. That would be our Low Income Home Energy Assistance program. We have scholarships. We have a lot of programs that are offered at different times and we encourage anyone who is in need, who is struggling, to call our office and talk to us about what their situation is and we will see if there is a program that can assist them.”

The Western Illinois Regional Council serves individuals and families in Hancock, McDonough, Knox, Warren, and Henderson Counties.
