Cub Pack and BSA Scouts Troops 705 Provide Local Youth with Skills to Be Prepared in Life

Share

Local Cub Pack and BSA Scouts Troop 705 are hosting a recruiting night at the First Lutheran Church, 116 South B Street in Monmouth, this Sunday, August 27th from 4 to 5 pm. Eagle Scout Ethan Elswick encourages all local youth to become involved as the skills learned prepare you for the future:

“There are a lot of skills that normally you learn a lot later on, but with Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, you learn them earlier, you learn them so that later on when you need those skills, you have them. You have them already, you don’t have to learn the hard way and you can be prepared. Being prepared is a very important thing later on in life, I have found out, and Scouts has definitely helped me with being prepared for all of life’s challenges.”

Cub Scout groups are available for Kindergarten through 5th Grade students and Scouts BSA is open to youth ages 11 to 17.
