Plans of Remodel Underway for Former VFW Building in Monmouth

Share

Construction continues on the former VFW building, which will be the new location of the Warren Achievement Center’s Community Day Services program, explains Marketing Coordinator Sean Cavanaugh:

“The VFW will be able to use the proceeds from the sale to continue their mission at another location as they determine what that might be. In the meantime, we are working on getting the architectural renderings and plans of the remodel. Our Community Day Services program will be moving from the south end of town on South Main to that building. We will still have our sheltered workshop down south, but as far as the day programs, the life skills, and different activities they will be moved to the former VFW building.”

Cavanaugh also reports the bar inside the VFW was purchased locally.
