Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 3, 2023:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls cross country runner, Chloe Kelly. Chloe continued her great start to the season. She followed up a nice finish at the season-opening Annawan/Wethersfield Invite with a 3rd place finish at the highly competitive Canton Invitational at Big Creek Park.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior boys golfer, Juke Jungmann. Luke had a great week on the course. He was the meet medalist at Lake Calhoun early in the week. Luke carried that momentum to a 10th place finish and a medal at the Mercer County Invitational at Valley View Golf Club.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior volleyball player, Harlee Hainds. Harlee was named to the Southeastern Lady Suns Classic All-Tournament team for her outstanding performance. In five matches, she averaged nearly double digits in kills and digs as the Heat won 3 of 5 matches. Harlee also had 12 kills and 17 digs in a big win over BPC during the week, as well.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Amarie Richardson. Amarie was a beast rushing the football in a 41-7 blowout win over Limestone. The uber-fast Richardson rushed the football for over 200 yards in the victory. He hit the endzone on three of those carries.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Kandra Hendricks. Kandra’s final season of high school volleyball got off to a great start. In three matches last week, she handed out 30 assists for an average of 10 per match. Showing her versatility, Kandra also served a pair of aces against Alleman.
