Catherine S. Kramer, resident of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023, at Legacy Estates in Monmouth, Illinois. Born in Galesburg, Illinois, Catherine carried the values that her dear parents, Orville B. and Helen (Brown) Sims, instilled in her: love, resilience, and dedication. Catherine married Clyde “Tod” E. Kramer on July 23, 1955 in Galesburg.

For many years, she excelled as a Realtor at Century 21, sharing her expertise and warm personality with countless clients. A seasoned history enthusiast, Catherine served with passion and diligence as the Past State Vice Regent and Recording Secretary of the Rebecca Parke Chapter of the D.A.R.

Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tod E. Kramer on November 15, 1995, her parents, four brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her sons, Curtis (Lou Ann) Kramer of Galesburg, Illinois and Kent (Thayer) Kramer of South Bend, Indiana, five grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Her love and caring spirit will live on through them and continue to inspire those fortunate to have known her.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2023 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Viola Cemetery, Viola, Illinois. Jared Hawkinson will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Knox County Humane Society.
