United High School Campus Prepares for Upcoming Boys AND Girls Holiday Tournaments

United High School is preparing for a busy day of basketball on Saturday, as the boys and girls basketball teams will be playing games in the United Holiday Tournament this Saturday. Both the girls and boys Red Storm teams are off to hot starts to the 2023-2024 season. The Lady Red Storm squad, led mostly by junior and sophomore players, sits at 5-3 overall after big wins over Galva and Peoria Christian. As for the boys, they dropped their first 3 contests of the year before rebounding with 6 straight wins in the past 2 weeks.

Athletic Director at UHS Jeremy Sharp has more about the upcoming United Holiday Tournament, stating that it sure to be a busy and fun day for both basketball programs.

The Red Storm girls will open their day with two games, the first of which against Elmwood at 10:30, and the second one coming against Payson-Seymour at 1:30. The Red Storm boys will take on West Central at 3:00, then face off with Knoxville at 7:30.
