Randy Dean Watts, 53, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

Randy was born July 7, 1970 in Fort Collins, Colorado, the son of Norman Dean and Barbara Louise (Snodgrass) Watts. Randy married Nicole Michelle Sturgis on October 11, 2020 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Randy is survived by his wife, Nikki of Galesburg; one son, Trenton (Kayla) Watts of Burlington, Iowa; two daughters, Andrea (Matt) Surber of North Henderson, Illinois and Courtney (Nicholas) Brown of Monmouth, Illinois; and eleven grandchildren, Carrson, Aleece, Lauren, Elena, Elijah, Marshall, Paisley, Lincoln, Holden, Grayson, and Hollan. Randy is also survived by two stepsons, Aaron Hughes and Dylan Hughes both of Galesburg; two brothers, Jeff Clark of Tipton, Iowa and Brandon Watts of Galesburg; three sisters, Sharlene Watts of Galesburg, Jane (Harold) Jones of Prairie City, Illinois and Marla (the late Ron) Mecum of Galesburg. Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

A talented mechanic by trade, Randy spent many years working on cars and helping family and friends with repairs. He also worked for a time at Cozadd Diesel and as a carman for BNSF. Randy loved being outdoors from hobbies like fishing and hunting, to riding his Harley Davidson. He was an avid collector of firearms. Most of all, Randy enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandbabies.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions made be made to the family for a fund to be designated. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
