John R. Anderson, 88, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at the Arcadia Care of Aledo.
John was born November 7, 1937 in Monmouth, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Bennett) Anderson. He was raised and educated in Monmouth.
John served with the Illinois Amy National Guard.
John worked for Admiral in Galesburg for 35 years. Following his retirement, he moved to Arizona for a few years before return to Monmouth.
He enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include his son, Tony Anderson; 4 grandchildren; his brother, Dean Anderson
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Terri Anderson; his brother, Frank Anderson; his sister, Maryann Robinson
Cremation has been accorded. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be given to Jamieson Center, Monmouth and sent to the funeral home.
