Since their loss to Knoxville last Wednesday, the United Red Storm boys basketball team has gotten two games under their belt, both on the road. Last Friday, United traveled up to Galva to take on a fellow Lincoln Trail Conference rival in the Wildcats. United would take that one 58-33 before turning around the next day to participate in the Carl Sandburg College shootout on Saturday. In an offensive back and forth with Peoria Quest Academy, the Red Storm would end up relinquishing a double-digit second-half lead to fall 73-70 to the Gators. United was scheduled to pick up a game with West Central this Tuesday, however, that contest was postponed due to winter weather currently impacting the area. Overall the Red Storm boys now sit at 13-5 on the season under first-year Head Coach Jason Lancaster and are scheduled to host A-Town tomorrow night, however, that game’s status is in question due to another winter storm projected to roll in on Friday. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, Coach Lancaster says the team is trying to create their own momentum during practice this week, as the Red Storm plan to stay ready for whenever they can get back on the floor again.

If United and Abingdon-Avon are able to get on the floor tomorrow night, that game will tip-off at 7:30 from United High School.
