Share

Construction of the classroom remodel at the Buchanan Center for the Arts is complete and a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony will be held Wednesday, February 21st at 11 am. Executive Director Kristyne Gilbert is grateful for the support from the community:

“We couldn’t do this without the businesses and patrons who made this dream a reality. They are Blick Art Materials, Harlow and Lila Blum, the City of Monmouth TIF program, Midwest Bank, the Monmouth Rotary Club, the United Way of Greater Warren County, and two anonymous donors. We are just very grateful for their investment in what we know will be a space that will bring lots of creativity in the future.”

The BCA Classroom will be named Blum Studio in honor of Harlow and Lila Blum. The Blums joined the Monmouth community is 1959 and have since dedicated their professional careers and personal lives to education and the arts.
