Cardinals Legend Jose DeLeon Dies At 63

A Cardinals legend has passed away.  Jose DeLeon died on Sunday at a hospital in Santo Domingo due to health issues.  He was 63.  DeLeon led the National League in strikeouts with 201 in 1989.  He was a career 86-and-119 with a 3.76 ERA in 264 starts.  He spent 13 seasons in the majors with the Cardinals, Pirates, White Sox, Phillies and Montreal Expos.  DeLeon ended his career with 1,594 strikeouts.  He was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 1979 draft.
