Ryan E. Johnson, 46, of Des Moines, IA, formerly of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:28 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2024 at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, Des Moines, IA.

He was born on December 13, 1977 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Ronald Johnson and Laurie Noel.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth.

Ryan was currently working for Bertini Tile in Des Moines, IA as a tile setter.  He enjoyed working on vehicles in his garage.  Ryan always had a tool in his hand or his pocket. 

Surviving Ryan is his daughter, Kayla Johnson of Houstin, TX; his mother, Laurie Noel of Monmouth, IL; his sister, Erin (Jeremy) Heinrich of Monmouth, IL; his brother, Matthew Johson of Des Moines, IA; his Fiancé, Dianna Urista of Des Moines, IA; his nephews, Kyle Johnson, Rylan Johnson, Remy Heinrich; his nieces, Madyson Johnson, Rayonna Heinrich; two great nieces, and one great nephew.  Also surviving are numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his son, Caden Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, February 19, 2024 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the Ryan Johnson Memorial Fund for his daughter Kayla’s Education and can be sent to the funeral home.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com
