Marriages In US Back To Pre-Pandemic Levels

Share

Marriage rates in the U.S. are back to pre-pandemic levels.  New government data shows there were just over two-million-marriages in the U.S. in 2022, roughly six-point-two marriages per one-thousand people.  That’s the highest level since 2018.  Marriage rates dropped when COVID hit, and in 2020 there were only one-point-six-million marriages nationwide.  While numbers seemed to have recovered from the pandemic, the last two decades have seen an overall downward trend in marriage rates.
