Authorities are identifying the man killed in an ATV crash in Knox County this past week. Angus Carlson died following the accident Saturday night in the 28-hundred block of Knox County Road. A 19-year-old from Cambridge was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓: Single vehicle ATV crash
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄: 2800 block of Knox Road 900E, Knox County
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍: Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at approximately 10:46p.m.
𝐕𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒:
Unit 1: ATV
DRIVERS:
Unit 1: 25-year-old male, Altona, IL- Deceased.
PASSENGERS:
Unit 1: 19-year-old male, Cambridge, IL – Transported by ambulance to an area hospital, then Life Flighted to OSF Peoria with life-threatening injuries.
𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐘: Preliminary information indicates Unit 1 was traveling through a field and struck an embankment where it came to an immediate stop. Names are not being released at this time, pending next of kin notifications.
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐒: No further information is available.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team is currently investigating.
