The MTC Communications school spotlight for the month of April is highlighting West Central High School. Specific programs at West Central that are being focused on this month are the student council and the National Honors Society. District librairian Tiffany Ouelette (OH-LET) helps coordinate both the student council and the National Honors Society for West Central. Ouelette says that all the students who participate in student council and NHS continue to make West Central High School an example of student leadership.

Ouelette, a Sherrard native and graduate of Monmouth College, also serves as the ELA teacher at the high school in addition to her NHS coordinator position. In addition to highlighting the current activities and programs that are going on in the West Central school district, West Central High School principal Jason Kirby gave an update on all the new staff additions that the school saw over the past school year.

As well as serving as the WCHS principal, Kirby is currently head coach of the Heat varsity football team.
