John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline is making cuts. Our Quad Cities reports that 279 employees at the plant will get layoff notices today. The employees were told their last day is August 30th. Hundreds of John Deere workers have received layoff notices in recent months, including in Waterloo and Ankeny.
