Rodney Quin Lubke

Rodney Quin Lubke, 66, husband of Jerri Christine Lubke, went to heaven on January 7, 2024.

Rodney was born October 3, 1957, to the late Leighton and Jennie Clay Lubke. Rod grew up with his brother in Monmouth, IL and graduated from Monmouth University with his bachelor’s degree in finance. Upon graduation Rod tried a few warmer cities (Houston, TX and San Diego, CA) until settling in Raleigh, NC where he met his wife Jerri and her sons Brian and Nathan White.

Rod liked the simple things in life; long walks (or runs), making new memories celebrating a variety of traditions while sprinkling in new adventures too (just in case we needed a new tradition!). Rod enjoyed being outside and spending time with family, friends, and our furry four-legged kids too. One of Rod’s favorite ways to explore an area was to take everyone on “Walk About” to find the local gems. Rod’s family and many lifelong friends will miss him dearly.

In addition to his wife of 20 years, Rodney Lubke is survived by sons, Brian White, Nathan White, and his wife, Jessica; grandchildren, James and Quinn, and many cousins.

Rodney Lubke was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Danny Lubke; and many aunts and uncles of Galesburg, IL, Monmouth, IL, Warsaw, MO.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. While some flowers are welcome, memorial donations to the following charities are close to our hearts; American Cancer Society, ASPCA or Providence Baptist Church, by using the links below, under ‘Donations’. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with their wishes. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
