Wanda J. Casey, age 79, of Oquawka, Illinois passed away at 6:24 am on June 21, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Wanda was born on December 3, 1944 in Arkansas and is the daughter of C.D. and Dessie Griffin Edlemon. Her early years and schooling were in Memphis, Tennessee. She later married Terrance Casey on June 17, 1966 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2006. Wanda was employed at the Cookie Factory in Burlington, Iowa where she was their supervisor. She loved planting her flowers and liked goin’ to the boat. She always loved doing home projects and crafts, but most loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter in law, Lynne Greene of Oquawka, and granddaughter, Presley also of Oquawka, Illinois. There are three brothers, Gary Edlemon and Janice of South Haven, Mississippi, Eddie Edlemon and Shelly of Quincy, Illinois, and Ronnie Edlemon and Shirley of Oquawka, Illinois. A number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, also are surviving. She is preceded in her death by her husband, parents, one son Jerry Greene, her daughter Marci Steele, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. 

As was her wish, cremation is being accorded and no viewing, visitation, or funeral service is being currently planned. Her care is in the charge of Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. To leave your remembrance or for more information please visit www.turnbullfuneralhomes.com
