Food Retailers Issue Major Produce Recall

Share

Three food retailers are issuing a major recall on vegetables and herbs in 15 states that may be contaminated with Listeria.  Aldi, Walmart, and Kroger are recalling the produce items they received from Ohio based Weirs Farm Inc., which includes green beans, cucumbers, and several types of peppers. The recall impacts some shoppers in the Midwest and the east including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Ohio, Delaware, and Maryland. Doctors say most people are able to recover from Listeria on their own but high risk groups, like young children, elderly adults, and pregnant women, must be more vigilant.
