The annual 4th of July Fly-In Breakfast with the Monmouth Flying Club is back this Thursday from 7 to 10 am at the Monmouth Municipal Airport. Club Member Jared Kunkle shares the details:

“Some remember it as an even bigger breakfast, but we have kind of dwindled it down to pancakes and sausage, free will donation, so that has been nice. It has worked out to utilize the Shopko parking lot for parking and then it is amazing how many people enjoyed the tram ride because some could just sit there and see the planes coming and going as they are riding into the breakfast, so parking will be in the old Shopko parking lot. We will have the trams coming over. The Monmouth Municipal Band will be there at 8:30 am to start. The breakfast itself is 7 to 10 am. It is a free will donation, there are no tickets. It is a great event. Normally we have quite a few planes that show up, I think we had 30 or 40 last year.”

Proceeds benefit the Monmouth Flying Club.
