Dawn M. Stevens, 67, of Monmouth, Il passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Allure of Lake Storey, Galesburg, IL.

Dawn was born March 8, 1957, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Marshall and Martha (Hall) Giddings.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.  She later went to Carl Sandburg College receiving her Certified Nursing Assistant training.

Dawn worked as a CNA for 31 years at local nursing homes in Galesburg and Monmouth.  She also worked for several years at Western Stoneware in Monmouth.

She enjoyed going to Bingo, the casino boats, puzzle books, country music and crocheting.

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie (Jason) Royse of Galesburg; step-granddaughter, Skylynn Marmion; her mother Martha Lovell of Monmouth, IL; her sisters, Marsha (Gene) Dunn of Taylorville, IL, and Paula (Tim) Larson of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; step-father, Randy Lovell; her sisters Karen Mendes and Peggy Bowling; nephew, Allen Bowling.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm, Monday, September 9, 2024 at   McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.
