Macomb Police Department Seeking Information on Missing Person

On 8-27-2024, the Macomb Police Department received a report of a missing person. It was
reported that Joseph E. Beranek (46 years old, white male, Macomb, IL) had not been seen by
family since 8-21-2024. During an investigation into Beranek’s whereabouts, it was determined
Beranek had driven to Blak Hawk State Park, in Rock Island, Illinois sometime around 8-21-2024.

His vehicle was located at the park by local law enforcement and an extensive search of
the area was conducted with negative results. Anyone with information regarding Beranek’s
whereabouts is urged to contact the Macomb Police Department (309-833-4505). Anonymous
tips and information can be made by calling the McDonough County Area Crimestoppers, 309-
836-3222.
