Tasipale L. “Pat” Taliva’a, 67, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Pat was born January 25, 1957 in American Samoa, the son of Logova  Kilipo and Maima (Itupito Tufanua Tafa) Taliva’a.  He was raised and educated in Hawaii and San Jose, CA, graduating from Overfelt High School in 1976. Following his graduation Pat served with the United States Navy from 1976 to 1982, serving on the USS San Bernadino based in San Diego, CA.

Pat worked for Clow Valve Foundry in Oskaloosa, IA in the maintenance division for several years.

He was of Catholic Faith.

Pat enjoyed listening to music and watching the History Channel and war movies.  He was a very talented artist, especially drawing.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Eloise (Julio) Perez; Kilipo (Sindy) Taliva’a,  and Marcus Taliva’a all of Monmouth; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Vaosa Taliva’a, Pelasio Taliva’a and James Taliva’a and 1 sister, Aileen Salausa; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 grandson; 2 sisters and 4 brothers
