The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior boys golfer, Maddox Clark. As his final year of high school golf winds down, Maddox might be playing his best golf. At the TRAC championship golf tournament at Fyre Lake Golf Club, he shot an 18-hole score of 88 was good enough for 15th place. That placed Maddox on the All-Conference 2nd team.
The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is sophomore boys golfer, Lucas Horner. In just his first Lincoln Trail Conference championship tournament, Lucas shot an 18-hole score of 82 at Lake Bracken Country Club. That score was the 5th lowest individual score of the day, giving Lucas a spot on the LTC All-Conference team.
The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Harlee Hainds. Harlee was on fire at the net in two LTC matches last week. She totaled 23 kills in a win over Stark County and 3-set loss to United. Harlee has garnered double digits kills in nearly every match this season, including an amazing 20 in a conference victory over Princeville.
The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior girls golfer Cora Johnson and sophomore boys golfer, Aidan Nelson. Cora and Aidan were both named to the Western Big Six All-Conference first team. Cora’s 90 in the conference championship tournament was good enough for 3rd place. She was also named the conference’s Player of the Year for the 2nd straight season. Aidan’s solid 76 at the boy’s championship meet placed him 6th overall.
