Students at United High School will get the opportunity to learn from local business leaders and develop workforce skills through the Knox County CEO Program, explains United Superintendent Tom Hawkins:

“It has been extended to us, this invitation for the Knox County CEO Program. When our counselors brought this idea that the Knox County CEO Program wanted to come present, I was like absolutely. I saw what it did for some of our students in the Galesburg community. I know we have a lot of rockstar students in the United community. It is just an upper level, dual credit type of high school opportunity for juniors and seniors. There is an application process, and it is basically like a mini apprentice for a full year.”

The Knox County CEO Program was established in 2018 with support from local business community partners and area schools to create a hands-on learning opportunity for high school juniors and seniors.
