Ruth Ann Guajardo, 59, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinios. She was born February 13, 1965 in West Palm Beach Florida, the daughter of San Juan Rodriguez and Beverly Miller-Jones. She was raised and educated in Roseville and later graduated high school in Palm Beach.

She married Javier Guajardo in 1991 and he survives.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Javier Guajardo of Monmouth; children, Jacob Vester, Almalicia Guajardo, Lydia Guajardo; 12 grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Cindy (Roy) Gray, Antonia Rodriguez-Allen and Michael Jones. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Ruth worked for processing plants, in manufacturing and in nursing. She loved to be outdoors and spending time with her family. She was a woman of many trades.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Mercedes Guajardo and one sister, Lidia Rodriguez.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Point Pleasant Cemetery, Roseville, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.

Tax Levy Passed by M-R Board of Education

The Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education has passed their Tax Levy, which Superintendent Ed Fletcher expects the rate to be very similar: “I’m certain it is going to be very similar
