The WMOI/WRAM School Spotlight for the month of November is the United Junior/Senior High School. This 2024-2025 academic year, is the first year the 7th and 8th graders have been a part of the high school building for the United School District, which Principal Brian Higbee says has led to great collaborations:

“We have an excellent staff of about 50 that make everything run here on a daily basis. I can’t think them enough for all that they do. The great thing about the combination of 7th and 8th with our high school is that all of those teachers are now in one building. There is a lot of collaboration between our junior high and high school teachers within the same departments and beyond. That has worked out really well. It is exciting walking into the classrooms. It is exciting collaborating with our support staff. I can’t praise them enough. We have gone from almost 300 students to almost about 450 students in our building this school year.”

Meanwhile, the winter sports seasons are ramping up for the United Junior and Senior High School athletes, with the holiday music programs right around the corner, which will be December 12th at The Orpheum Theatre.
