Warren County Housing, which offers quality and efficient housing in Monmouth, Roseville, and Kirkwood, has been awarded a HUD grant of up to $600,000 for radon testing and mitigation, explains Executive Director Hank Shimmin:

“Six hundred thousand dollars has been awarded and is available. We will be testing all of our properties and then mitigating radon if it is found to be at an elevated level. I don’t want to alarm people; we do not know of elevated levels of radon and that is why we are testing. We will then mitigate radon as required if it were to test high or at an elevated level at any of our sites.”

Shimmin also reports that the elevators at Oak Terrace and Costello Terrace are in the process of being upgraded.
