The United Red Storm girls basketball team is off to a great start to the new season at (6-1). The Red Storm went (3-1) in the ROWVA/Williamsfield-Ridgewood Thanksgiving Tournament. The lone loss in the tourney was to state-ranked A-Town. The girls have kept the momentum going with three more wins in the past week.

The program took a big step forward last season, going (16-12). Much of the reason for the success so far this season has come from a senior-led group of players that have been through the rigors of varsity play since they were freshman and sophomores. Third-year head coach Chris Olson says that with that plethora of floor-experience, comes a confidence level that is important to success on the scoreboard.

The Red Storm continue their busy early season schedule with an LTC home game against Knoxville on Wednesday night and an afternoon non-conference match up at Rockridge on Saturday.
