Galesburg Police Searching for Suspect in Shooting Incident

On Monday, January 27, 2025, at approximately 02:26 AM, the Galesburg Police Department responded to the 200 block of N. Chambers Street in reference to gunshots being fired.

A 20-year-old victim, with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, was located. The victim was subsequently transported by Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Service (GHAS) to OSF St. Mary’s Emergency Room where he was treated for his injury. A house in the 200 block of N. Chambers was found to have bullet holes on the exterior of the house.  No other victims were located.

This investigation is ongoing, and at this time, names are not being released.
