The Warren County Soil and Water District is gearing up for spring with the kickoff of its spring fish and tree sales shares Resource Conservationist Shawnee Sheehan.
“We sell a variety of stocked fish, from, you know, catfish to crappie to grass carp, and we go through Herman Brothers Fishery over near Peoria. We’ve had amazing success with them for the last couple of years. They’re great people, and easy to work with. So we have a variety of fish for sale. You can buy bags of different quantities,” says Sheehan.
On top of the spring fish sales, Sheehan added that they would also offer tree sales again.
“Dawn approached me last year about wanting to have a tree sale,” says Sheehan. “We have a variety of different species that we are going to have for that. So there’s like fruit trees and oaks and just pretty much anything that you can think of, and it’s a pretty big order form. If there’s something that you want that’s not on it, we can try to get it for you.”
Information on the sales can be found by contacting the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District.
