MONMOUTH, ILL. (07/07/2025) The Monmouth College women’s tennis team will start their 2025-26 in Iowa on August 30 with the home opener set for two weeks later. The men’s team will play four fall matches before their championship season starts in the fall. The 2025-26 campaign will be the fourth under head coach Brian Dahlstrom.
The women head to Iowa on consecutive weekends to start the season. They will play at Central College at Noon on Saturday, August 30 to kickoff the campaign. On Saturday, September 6 the Scots go to Loras College in Dubuque for two matches. After facing Loras at 10:30 a.m. the Scots head across town to play Dubuque at 2:30 p.m.
Monmouth plays the home opener on Wednesday, September 10 in a DH with the men’s team. The Scots will face St. Ambrose at 3:30 p.m. at the MC Tennis Courts.
Midwest Conference play begins on Saturday, September 13 at Lake Forest College. The match against last year’s MWC finalist starts at 9 a.m.
The Scots host Illinois Wesleyan at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16. Back to conference action, the Scots head to Jacksonville to take on Illinois College on Wednesday, September 24.
Saturday, October 4 brings two home matches for the Scots. At 9 a.m. they host powerhouse Grinnell, the defending MWC champions, and at 3 p.m. the Scots host Cornell.
Monmouth finishes conference matches on Saturday, October 11 with a trip to Wisconsin. The Scots face Ripon at 9 a.m. and head to Appleton for a 3 p.m. match against Lawrence.
The 2025 Midwest Conference Individual Tournament is set for Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19 at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
The women also have an indoor match scheduled as part of a DH with the men against Webster University on Saturday, February 28. That match will be a home event and take place at Lakeside Recreation Center in Galesburg at 9 a.m.
The men will play four fall matches, two at home. After facing St. Ambrose on September 10, the Scots head to Simpson College on Sunday, September 14. The men will face Buena Vista at Noon with a match against host Simpson scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The Scots return home to play Edgewood College at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 3.
The men also have indoor matches scheduled for February. On Saturday, February 21 they will host Illinois Wesleyan at 9 a.m. and Principia College at 12:30 p.m. both at Lakeside. They return to Lakeside a week later to host Webster along with the women’s team. The men’s conference schedule starts in April and will be announced at a later date.
