Leslie Pierre Williams, Sr., 63, of Galesburg, passed away at 8:19 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
He was born September 5, 1961, in Galesburg, the son of Bursie and Leottabelle (Finn) Williams Jr. He was married to Mary Wallace Williams.
He is survived by his children, Leslie Pierre (Monique Williams) Williams Jr. of Galesburg, Elizah Williams of Ohio, Ashante (Chance) Patterson of Galesburg, Deja Williams of Illinois, Lyric Williams of Galesburg, Tobias Dickerson of Galesburg, Marissa Williams of Monmouth; and Tamar Williams of Monmouth; 16 grandchildren; his companion and life partner of 20 years, Marquie Smith and her family, Natasha (Justin) Emery and Lyric and Karma, and Krishonna Smith and Rozalynn and Myles; two brothers, Lawrence “Skeet” Williams of Galesburg and Craig “Champ” Williams of Dubuque, Iowa; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Noah; and a brother, Victor Williams.
Pierre worked in construction for Gunther Construction for many years. He also worked for Raff’s Power Washing. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and detailing cars. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tyson Parks III officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
