Locking your vehicles, homes, garages, and sheds is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent becoming the victim of a break in, reminds Monmouth Police Officer AJ Cox:
“Go through and make sure you are locking up your cars, your residences. Around Monmouth you see that we have people that are out walking all the time. They have nothing else better to do, they walk and they will pull vehicle door handles, they will pull shed doorknobs, and they will take whatever they can because it doesn’t matter to them. It could be a very a very priceless item to you, but if they can go through and get in and grab five dollars, they are going to get five bucks.”
