Open enrollment for Get Covered Illinois is set to wrap up at the end of this week.
Missie Shepherd, owner of Way Insurance Services, says the program is available for people under 65 who do not receive health insurance through an employer.
“This is our first year as Get Covered Illinois, that’s for people who are generally under 65 and need to insure themselves because they don’t have an offer of coverage through an employer. Open enrollment was extended until the end of this month, so you have one more week to get in there if you are not insured currently. You still do have bronze, silver, and gold plans to pick from.”
