Sandburg is reviving their study abroad program with an educational opportunity for students this June to study business in Indonesia, informs Dean of Transfer Michael Patilla:
“This is a study abroad opportunity to study international business in Indonesia. There will be two classes that will be offered, you will have to take ‘Introduction to International Business’ and an ‘Indonesian Language and Culture’ class as part of this trip,” says Patilla.
“I went to visit this university back in December to plan this trip. It was amazing. This university, Universitas Pelita Harapan, which means hope and light. This university has amazing facilities, amazing technology, world-class faculty; so, this is going to be an opportunity to go there and study international business and get some really, really neat cultural experiences. I will say as a big selling point for this trip, there are some wonderful excursions. One of those excursions is to Bali,” Patilla adds.
“The cost of this trip will be estimated at about $5,500, air fare is included in that, and we don’t know exactly what that cost will be. If someone is Pell eligible, they can get money to go toward this trip. We will also have scholarships available and payment plans,” states Patilla.
Only twelve students will be able to be a part of this study abroad opportunity in Indonesia. For more information, contact Michael at 309-341-5234.
