On Wednesday, February 11th as the Monmouth College Fighting Scots Men’s and Women’s basketball teams host Knox College, fans are asked to wear white and help ‘Defend the Glennie.’ Tartan Threads Manager Amanda Pilger shares the details:
“On Wednesday, February 11th, we are going to have a White-Out game. One of our seniors, Turner, he is on the men’s basketball team, he had the idea of creating a white-out shirt that says, ‘Defend the Glennie.’ So, we ran with it. We will have the men’s game at 5:30 pm and the women’s game at 7:30 pm. Just a way to band together and get ready to cheer on the Fighting Scots and Defend the Glennie.”
Monmouth College’s Tartan Threads has teamed up with Elite Ink to create ‘Defend the Glennie’ white shirts, which can be purchased in the store beginning Monday, February 9th. Doors will open at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, February 11th ahead of the double header basketball game as the Scots take on the Prairie Fire. Admission is free.
