Moms on the Move is returning to Warren County and expanding into Knox County. OSF HealthCare is partnering with the Warren County and Knox County YMCA’s to host Moms of the Move. Community Health Program Manager Emily Brooks says this is a great way for new moms and caregivers to connect and learn about local resources:

“It is a great way for new moms, specifically is who we want to highlight the program for, but anybody who has young kids or is pregnant, who is an aunt, a grandma, a caregiver with young kids can be a part of this program. Moms on the Move, we meet one day a week for one hour. We start at the Warren County Pattee Pool parking lot and we have a safe route mapped out. It is about two miles or so. We walk at the pace you are comfortable with,” informs Brooks.

“We are going to connect with you, talk with you. So, if you need connections from the ROE or OSF or if you are wanting to get a membership at the Y, that is what we are there for. We are there to connect with you and help you get the resources you need,” Brooks adds.

Moms on the Move in Knox County will begin Wednesday, May 6th from 10 am to 11 am and in Warren County Thursday, May 7th from 9 am to 10 am. Registration is free. More details can be found on the OSF Holy Family Medical Center Facebook Page.

You only need to register once and you can join one or BOTH locations. Programs run through the end of October!
