Share

Want to know more about solar energy projects? Tomorrow night is your chance to educate yourself on this relatively new source of energy. The Fulton, Hancock, McDonough, Schuyler, and Warren-Henderson County Farm Bureaus will be hosting an informational meeting at the Spoon River College Outreach Center located at 2500 E. Jackson Street in Macomb starting at 7 p.m.

Landowners or others who are interested are invited to come and hear Garrett Thalgott, an attorney with the Illinois Agricultural Association Office of General Counsel, and Rae Payne, IFB senior director of Business and Regulatory Affairs, as they present information related to solar energy projects and the rights of landowners. Topics of discussion will be contract law basics, lease terms, compensation structure, landowner obligations, and much more.

The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau will also be sponsoring a dinner and marketing program at their location in Monmouth on Thursday, Feb. 1. The program is open to anyone with an interest in marketing their commodities. The meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. Cost to attend is $5.00 per person, and reservations are required on or before January 26.

To register for these events, contact the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau by calling 309-734-9401 or email them at whfb@whfarmbureau.org.
