MONMOUTH, IL – Leading Monmouth College to a record-setting season has earned Kara-Jade Gordon (Nashville, Tenn./University School) and Jacie Reis (La Porte, Texas/La Porte) All-North Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches.

Gordon, who last month was named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year, earned United Soccer Coaches second team honors as a senior forward after earning selection to the third team as a sophomore. The senior netted 15 goals, 35 points and six game-winning goals – all team highs – in her final season. A senior psychology major, she is the daughter of Daniel and Olive Gordon.

Reis, a two-time all-conference honoree, was named to the United Soccer Coaches third team. The senior forward scored 12 goals, 29 points and three game-winning goals, trailing only Gordon for team-high totals for Monmouth. A senior biology major, she is the daughter of Timmothy and Tonya Taylor, and Jerry Taylor.

The all-region tandem helped Monmouth to a school-record 14 wins en route to winning the Midwest Conference tournament title and the automatic NCAA tournament berth that goes with it. Both the tournament title and NCAA berth were program firsts for the Scots.
