Sandra Jeneine DeJaynes, 61 of Avon, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born June 16, 1960 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, the daughter of Francis Eugene and Eva Ella (Combs) Ingle.  She married Rodney A. DeJaynes on February 26, 1994 in Prairie City.

Jeneine is survived by her husband, Rodney; her mother, Eva Ingle; her children, Erik DeJaynes, Timothy DeJaynes, Randy (Rachael) Guppy, Brandon (Avery) Guppy, Justin DeJaynes, Chris DeJaynes and Kasie DeJaynes; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way; and one brother, Denis Ingle.

She was preceded in death by her father, and one brother, Kevin Ingle.

Jeneine grew up in the London Mills area and graduated from Spoon River Valley High School in 1978.  She then graduated from the Graham Hospital Nursing School in 1981.  She has lived most of her married life in the Avon area.  She worked at the Gordon Behrents Senior Center in Galesburg for nine years, until her health began to failed her in January of 2020.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with Rodney and her family.  She also enjoyed painting, crocheting and knitting.  Her biggest love was spending time with all of her family.

As she requested, cremation will be accorded and no services will be held.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting her family with arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of Christopher DeJaynes, 1355 Old Wagon Road, Knoxville, IL 61448.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
