Mr. Todd Lynn Taylor, 55, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at home.

Todd was born on August 29, 1969, in Galesburg, the son of Avon and Shirley Jane (Wilder) Taylor. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1987 and received his associates degree from Carl Sandburg College with honors in 2015. He was a proud founding member of the Sandburg Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s Men of Distinction as a member of the “GENESIS” line and was the first chapter president, he also was an inaugural Sandburg Student Ambassador, a Phi Theta Kappa member and a TRIO SSS Student. Todd was also featured in the annual Sandburg Magazine as “Commit to Complete” Student dedicated to Sandburg students geared towards graduation. through Carl Sandburg College.

Todd was a machinist by trade, currently working for Mid-State Manufacturing for over five years.

Left to cherish Todd’s memory is his mother, Shirley J. Taylor of Galesburg; his daughter, Jaidyn Miller of Monmouth, Illinois; his brother, Jeffery Taylor of Cherokee, Iowa and a special cousin, Cindy Wilder of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his father, Avon.

Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 am, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Tyson Parks III will lead a prayer service at 10:45 am before processing to East Linwood Cemetery for burial. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
